応用化学コース：アドミッションポリシー / Admission policy
有機化学、無機化学、分析化学、物理化学、高分子化学など応用化学の基幹分野に関する高度な専門知識を備え、国際的視野を持って創造的に研究・開発を推進し、広い視野と俯瞰的な視点をもって社会を牽引するイノベーション創出に貢献しようとする人を求めます。
(1) 有機化学、無機化学、分析化学、物理化学、高分子化学などの基礎知識を身につけていること
(2) 日本語または英語で自らの専門分野の内容を他者にわかりやすく詳細に説明し、内容について深く議論することができること
(3) 応用化学分野の学部卒業生として必要な英語によるコミュニケーション能力を備えていること
We seek individuals who want to contribute to innovative social developments through creative research and studies, with comprehensive global perspectives and advanced knowledge and technological proficiency in applied chemistry fields such as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and polymer chemistry. Successful applicants are:
(1) Individuals who possess basic knowledge in the following areas: organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and polymer chemistry.
(2) Individuals who can clearly explain the research topic of their specialty and discuss in detail.

4月入学、もしくは10月入学を選択できます。
前期募集に出願書類等が間に合わない場合でも、後期募集に出願し合格すれば翌年度4月入学が可能です。
Applicants choose to be enrolled in April or October.
Applicants have the two application deadlines for admission; first call and second call for each enrollment in April and October.
出願期間までに行うこと / Preparation before the Application Period
・受入希望教員との打合せ / Communication with an academic advisor
出願にあたり、十分時間に余裕を持って希望する指導教員に連絡をとり、事前打合せを行ってください。
場合によっては、応募書類に打ち合わせた日時の記載を求められることがあります。
一度メール等で連絡を取り、可能であれば日程調整の上山梨大学にて打ち合わせを行うことをお勧めします。
Prior to application, meet the academic advisor of your preference (supervisor in University of Yamanashi) and discuss your research plan, the documents required for the application, etc. The date for the discussion (including online- or e-mail-meeting) with the academic advisor will be required in the application form.
*For the first time, please contact the academic advisor of your preference by e-mail. Take enough time for the preparation.

・英語外部試験の受験
/ Designated test of English language proficiency
出願時に有効期間内に受験した英語外部試験の成績を提出する必要があります。詳細は受験年度の募集要項で確認するか、受入希望教員に問い合わせてください。
(通常成績証明の取得には時間がかかりますのでご注意ください。)
Applicants need to submit the score of the designated test of English language proficiency which was taken within the valid period as the application document. Applicants have to confirm the details in the applicable Application Guidelines or contact the advisor for this information.
(Note: Commonly, it takes a long time to obtain the certificates.)
・出願資格審査 (留学生や一部の志願者のみ対象) / Examination of application requirements
出願資格によっては、事前に出願資格の審査が必要です。各募集要項で確認し、出願資格審査の申請期間内に審査に必要な書類を提出してください。
なお留学生であっても日本の大学を卒業あるいは卒業見込の方は、審査が免除されることがあります。
The examination of application requirements will be conducted in advance for applicants who apply under certain conditions (International applicants need to submit required documents including some certificates, research project plans, and so on before application. Please make an inquiry about the required documents to the office of university). Please refer to application requirements in application guidelines.
*There is possibility that international applicants who have graduated or are expected to graduate from a university or college in Japan are exempted from this examination of application requirements.
大学院入試：前期募集 / Graduate School Entrance Examination: First call for application
(1)推薦特別選抜、(2)一般選抜、(3)社会人特別選抜の3種類の選抜を行っています。それぞれの出願資格については募集要項で確認してください。他大学からの受験でも推薦枠が利用できる場合がありますので、受入希望教員に相談してください。 大学院入試：後期募集 / Graduate School Entrance Examination: Second call for application (1)一般選抜、(2)社会人特別選抜の2種類の選抜を行っています。 選抜方法/Selection method 推薦特別選抜(前期募集のみ)・一般選抜での入学者の選抜にあたっては、口述試験及び出願書類の審査結果を総合して判定し、合格者を決定します。 Mailing address / Inquiries:
(特に推薦特別選抜を希望する場合は、成績の要件を満たす必要があることに加え、現指導教員の推薦書が必要となります。受験資格を満たすかどうかは、必ず出願前に受入希望教員に問い合わせてください。)

社会人特別選抜での入学者の選抜にあたっては、研究業績（学術論文、研究報告、学会等における発表、卒業論文、著書、特許等）、口述試験（研究計画書に基づく内容等についての試問）の審査結果を総合して判定し、合格者を決定します。
英語での受験も可能です。
The selections including the special selection for preferred applicants (First call only) and general selection: Successful applicants will be chosen based on an overall assessment including the results of their oral examination and the examination of their application documents.
The special selection for working members of society (for domestic applicants only): Successful applicants will be chosen based on an overall assessment of the results of written examinations (fundamental and specialized subjects and foreign language), an oral examination (interview regarding the research project plan, conducted in either English or Japanese), and examination of their undergraduate or equivalent university academic transcript.
All examinations are available in English.
